These companies employ a number of multi-level sales representatives and more than 7,000 workers. Companies in Utah develop many of the major brands of supplements sold nationally. Some of these companies include, Weider Nutrition Inc., Deseret Laboratories Inc., Usana Inc., NuSkin Enterprises Inc., Twin Labs, Nutraceuticals International, Nature鈥檚 Way, and Nature鈥檚 Sunshine Products.Innovative individuals in Utah sought business opportunities in herbs and natural products and made it a part of Utah鈥檚 growing economy. Companies such as Nature's Way and Nature's Herbs grew from boutique operations into large, global enterprises. Eventually former employees of these firms left to start their own companies.
