Who should not perform Anulom Vilom pranayam?

Answer:
This Pranayam is useful in making the respiratory system deep and rhythmical. It strengthens the respiratory organs and enables the practioner to perform the Nadi Shodhan Pranayam. There is no contraindication as far as pranayama is concerned.
Any body can do this.Sit in any asan of meditation. Keep the neck and spine absolutely erect. Keep the left hand on the left knee in Gyan Mudra. Place the first two fingers of the right hand at the root of the right thumb and pressing the right nostril gently with the tip of the right thumb, start inhaling slowly and deeply through the left nostril. Then pressing the left nostril gently with the ring finger, exhale slowly through the right nostril. Keep pressing gently the left nostril and inhale through the right nostril. Now close the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril. This process constitute one round. Repeat this process of inhaling and exhaling for 5-10 minutes or as long as you can comfortably. Place the right hand on the right knee and come back to the position of rest.Duration : atleast 10 mins.Benefits : heart, high BP, heart blockage, vat-cuf-pit, arthritis, cartilage, bent ligaments, sinual fluid reduced, parkinson, paralysis, neural related, depression, migraine pain, asthma, sinus, allergy.Tips : breathe into lungs not to stomach. no organ in stomach absorbs oxygen. Do not hurry. Do it slowly. Rest whenever needed (in any pranayam).
Hi Tatsat, this a type of Pranayama or a Yoga breath control technique(Anulom Vilom Pranayama) can use without restriction. Yoga give way of pranayam to cleanse your mind.
