Why does cocaine make you not eat?

Like you still think about it, but when you go to eat you cant.
Answer:
it doesnt make you not eat its just that you choose not to because you are way too hyper and excited to. you get really jittery and you want to do more coke. you dont even worry abotu eating. thats also why most cokeheads are up for 4 days at a time. thats not uncommon either.
no time to eat gotta do more coke
becuase your too hyper
cocaine stimulates the adrenal system - adrenals control adrenaline, which increases your heart rate and because of the primitive response that incurs 'fight or flight' , blood is shunted from internal organs to supply the muscles, as the body thinks it may need to either fight off a predator, or flee from one. This is also why you can get a little paranoid or agitated...same deal.Oh...and when blood is shunted from the stomach, it tells the brain to shut off hunger because it can't digest food right now. It lacks blood supply which equals energy to do the work.
Don't ask this question if your going to do illegal drugs.
I don't know, but I wish someone would figure it out. All of us struggling to lose weight, who don't want to become coke addicts, would love to know what it is that causes the weight loss. Maybe some scientist somewhere will figure it out and bottle the stuff.
idk, but adderall does the same thing and it makes me wanna try real cocaine. =)

  1. its simple.. when you take coke, you do not want to eat.. this may go on for a few days (dependent on the 'binge') then you begin to lose wait, its not rocket science if you don't eat = lose wait. Don't blame your inability to lose wait due to the fact you don't want to do cocaine.
