When you boil vegetables, do you eliminate essential minerals?

Answer:
they bleed out into the water.
Yes, that's why it's best to steam them.
Yup.
Lots of minerals and vitamins are lost to the water in boiling veggies. Steam them to prevent this, unless you are making soup. Then save the water they are cooked in to be the liquid for the soup. You get your vitamins and minerals that way. Good luck.
Yes. Steam them instead.
Yes. Boiling takes them out. One way to see for yourself is to look at the vegetables after they're cooked. If the greens aren't as green, something has been taken out. That's why steamed veges look so bright and colorful, and also, why, say, canned green beans look so fake.
yes
all your answers say yes%26gt; gosh%26lt; everyone is smart%26gt; now%26lt; just eat them raw for optimum nutrition!
Drink the water after boiling. Assuming that it is filtered water and that the vegetables are organic, it would be safe to drink and would have some minerals in it.
