Whats the best home remedy for curing severve back pain?

Answer:
Soak in a hot bath with 2 cups water softener salts (NO epsom salts, these just don't work), for at least 20 minutes, at least once a day (meaning you can do it as often as you like actually) to relieve muscle spasms. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil in with it to soothe nerves, as often back pain is a combination of damaged nerves and muscle spasms. The water softener salts are available in Wal-Mart for $3 for a 40-lb bag (cheap!), and are the only salts I've found so far to actually draw out toxins that may be contributing to the pain. It worked for me. It took about a week to start seeing significant results, but it was worth persistent effort. There is also one specific yoga pose I do every day, that stretches hamstrings. If your pain is lower back, short, strained hamstrings are the "culprit". Sit on the floor with your lower back flush against a couch, and lay your legs out straight as much as possible in front of you. If you can't get your legs straight, put a small pillow under the knees. Sit that way for half an hour at least, and allow the legs to relax into the pose. Soon, your legs will start stretching, making the hamstrings more flexible, and thus relieving stress on the lower back.
Try a heating pad - they can be heaven when you're in that much pain.
hot bath heating pad, and rest in a good position, should help somewhat. Ibuprofen helps me a lot, if you can count that as a "home" remedy.
heat- or ice (try both and see which one worked better for releving pain), some aleve, bending forward is good stretching- bending backwards is bad stretching. hope this helps.
Back pain means it is a signal that there is something serious going on in your back. Pain is a warning signal. First you better check with your ortho if there is something wrong with your spine, perhaps a degenerated disc, or lumbar compression, or some muscle pull or spasm, it can be cervical or lumbar spondylosis, you never know. All you feel is the pain. There are no home remedies for alleviating pain. Yes there are a few balms or oils - herbal - which can be made, or purchased at your stores and use them like any other external applicants.
One such oil I prepare is as follows :1 Part peppermint oil
1 Part Thymol
1 Part Medicinal grade camphor
4 parts Eucalyptus oilGrind the peppermint oil, thymol, and camphor in a blender. A thick oily liquid will be formed. Drain and collect in an airtight container. Add the Eucalyptus oil and mix thoroughly.
Your pain relieving oil is ready.
Simple yet effective.Remember it will create a burning effect on the skin for about 10 mins after you apply, so apply a thin layer. The burning effect soothes the affected area and reduces the pain.
